Violists are steriotyped as being absent-minded and really dumb at times. The Oregon Symphony was practicing before this big concert at Carnegie Hall. The rehearsal is going smoothly and the orchestra is playing well, when a fight breaks out between the 4th chair violist and the 1st chair oboist. The director sees what is going on and stops the performance. He asks "What is going on back there?" The violist's reply was "The oboist turned one of my pegs and won't tell me which one."
