A little girl who could not see kept pestering her parents: "mammy daddy when will I be able to see" and had her parents drove around the bend asking this question day in day out so one day the girls mother brings her to a shop and buys a tube of cream, when they get home the mother says now honey this is a magic cream that helps people see, rub it on your eyes and go to bed and when you wake up in the morning you will be able to see, the mother rubs the cream on the girls eyes and says now you must wear this bandage over your eyes or the cream will not work, so the girl puts the bandage on getting more and more excited at the prospect of being able to see and goes to bed, next morning the girl stumbles into her parents room "mammy take these bandages off so i can see, the mother starts removing the bandage slowly and all the time the girl was getting more excited finally the bandages come off, the girl rubs her eyes and says mammy I still can't see to which the mother replies "APRIL FOOL"
